Scope
Quarters
The majority shareholder tasked me to consult on a new direction for Quarters, the biggest global co-living provider. The company had come under pressure, and was now hit by Covid19. After 3 months, I stepped in as Co-CEO to lead the restructuring towards a set-up wherein it could break even and attract a buyer. I helped shepherd the team through furloughs, layoffs and major changes in leadership. We closed down the unprofitable business in the US and sold the profitable EU entity with a new positioning to Habyt.
I steered the Tech team and People&Culture most closely, and took over Strategy & Customer Experience. Also reporting to me where the teams for Architecture & Design, Brand and Marketing.
- Developed a new vision, business and brand strategy, identifying stabile markets, new target groups and clear USPs.
- Strengthened the company through a new organisational set-up and expert hires, building a leaner yet more senior team.
- Digitalised the entire customer journey (B2C and B2B).
- Redefined the product offer, optimising for profitability and faster growth.
- Restructured business and pricing to grow additional revenue streams
- Introduced a membership model, bookable services and up-selling options.
- Relaunched tech with an ambitious roadmap, building a property management system and boosting the consumer App - the two key USPs.
- Drove down costs and drastically increased efficiency in Performance.
